Delivery & Returns Policy
At Melia Tiles Distribution, we aim to provide a reliable delivery service and ensure our customers are satisfied with every order. Please read the following information carefully before placing your order.

Delivery Options
Free Delivery
Orders over £600.00 qualify for FREE standard delivery.
Estimated delivery time: 3–5 working days.
Standard Delivery
Orders under £600.00 are subject to a £45.00 delivery charge.
Estimated delivery time: 3–5 working days.
Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on location, courier availability, and peak trading periods.
Please note that additional delivery charges or extended delivery times may apply to certain remote locations, including parts of the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands.
Pallet Deliveries
Due to the weight and size of tile orders, deliveries are made via pallet courier.
• Tiles are securely shrink-wrapped and delivered on a pallet.
• Delivery is kerbside only, meaning the goods will be delivered to the nearest accessible point at ground level outside your property.
• For insurance and health & safety reasons, drivers cannot move goods into your home or premises.
Customers are responsible for moving the goods from the delivery point into the property and should ensure appropriate assistance is available if required.
Delivery Requirements
To ensure successful delivery, the following conditions must be met:
Accessible Delivery Location
The delivery address must be accessible to a large delivery vehicle (typically a pallet lorry).
Flat & Solid Surface
Pallets are moved using manual pallet trucks, which require a hard, flat surface such as concrete or tarmac.
Delivery cannot be completed on gravel, grass, loose surfaces, or steep slopes.
Clear Access
The delivery area must be free from obstacles, including parked vehicles or low-hanging branches.
Turning Space
There must be adequate space for the delivery vehicle to safely manoeuvre and unload.
Parking Restrictions
Customers must inform us before dispatch of any parking restrictions, access limitations, or time restrictions at the delivery address.
Failure to meet these conditions may result in failed delivery and additional re-delivery charges.
Accepting Your Delivery
Customers must ensure someone is available to accept the delivery on the scheduled day.
If no one is available to accept the delivery, the courier may:
• Return the goods to the depot
• Charge a re-delivery fee
Upon delivery, customers should inspect the goods carefully before signing for them.
If the pallet or packaging appears damaged, please:
• Inform the driver immediately
• Mark the delivery note as “Damaged” or “Unchecked”
Any damaged or missing items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Claims reported after this period may not be accepted.
Returns
We hope you are delighted with your tiles. However, if you need to return goods, the following conditions apply.
Return Eligibility
We accept returns provided that:
• The return request is made within 30 days of receiving your order
• Items are unused
• Products are in their original packaging
• Goods are in fully resalable condition
Melia Tiles Distribution reserves the right to refuse returns or reduce refunds if goods are returned damaged, used, or not in resalable condition.
Return Costs
Customers are responsible for:
• Arranging the return transport
• All return shipping costs
Returns must be sent to our distribution warehouse return centre.
Restocking Fee
All returned goods are subject to a 15% restocking charge, which will be deducted from the refund amount.
Refunds
Once returned goods have been received and inspected, we will process the refund to the original payment method.
Please allow up to 10 working days for refunds to be processed.
Refunds may be reduced to account for:
• Restocking charges
• Original delivery costs
• Return shipping costs
• Goods not returned in resalable condition
Returning Entire Orders
If an entire order is returned, the following will apply:
• Original delivery charges will be deducted
• Return costs remain the responsibility of the customer
• A 15% restocking fee will apply
Liability
Melia Tiles Distribution cannot be held responsible for:
• Delivery delays caused by couriers or external factors
• Failed deliveries due to inaccessible addresses or incorrect information provided by the customer
• Damage occurring after goods have been successfully delivered and signed for
